Medication Assisted Treatment
WHAT IS MEDICATION ASSISTED TREATMENT?
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based treatment approach wherein a client receives counseling services in conjunction with medications designed to manage craving and withdrawal symptoms, usually from opioids/heroin.
MAT programs researched during the nationwide opioid crisis have been found to have a success rate of 86%.

Eligibility
Anyone with a history of opioid use or misuse who would benefit from MAT services is eligible for this program.
You do not need to be court-mandated or on probation.
Through grants made available by the City of Reno, The Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies, and Reno Police Department, we have been able to expand our services to those who are not in a court program.
Medications commonly used for this program are buprenorphine and naltrexone. Please contact us for more information on these medications, or to make an appointment.
